Over the past two weeks or so I’ve been playing a whole lot of Assassin’s Creed 2 in an effort to finish it and get it off the stack. I actually finished it several days ago but I’ve been going back to it to polish off the last of the achievements.

I must say, I LOVE this game. I played the original Assassin’s Creed some time ago. The first time I tried to play it I got bored and left it sitting for several months. When I went back to it, I got sucked in and loved it.

AC2 had a similar effect, except without the first attempt at playing it. I was absolutely entranced by this game when I first started it, and I have remained fixated on it this whole time. These games are very quickly overtaking Halo as my favorite franchise.

Everything about this game is amazing. I especially love the music, so much so that I pulled out my guitar to try and learn the “main” theme. The story is probably my favorite part, because it includes a bunch of alternate history. I’m a sucker for that kind of thing.

While trying to finish up the AC2 achievements, I’m starting Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood, and based on the first hour or so, I’m just getting more of the same.
